Funny that, in the DSM V, it even says it cannot be used as a court document. Here's how this works. The court appoints a 'criminal psychologist'. This person uses the DSM as a guideline on mental disorders, they then try and diagnose you to force you in to therapy, often disregarding the word of the DSM on the subject of Zoosexuality as it's written IN the manual.

Playing devils advocate: if they used the manual and said the person had a mental disorder would they be less likely to end up in jail, and more likely up seeking treatment in a mental hospital?

If found mentally incompetent by the court, yes. If found mentally ill, but with-in their capacity to understand their actions, no.

Good question. Unless the disorder is SEVERE, something really bad like Paranoid / Refractive Schizophrenia, etc... no, they will end up in jail: especially over a Bestiality / 'moral panic' charge. After all: "Dog fuckers will bring down muh society!" /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" title=":P" width="20" />
