Eyes of death
#1

As your Life escapes this place,
and I sadly watch your face.
Your lids don't close,
over peaceful, gentle eyes.
A lie.
A breath, shallow soft across my hand.
Pupils grow, bright color flies,
so quick, too quick,
Death fills up your eyes.
And I.
I wonder what you see.
Was your last on Earth of me?
Or was nothing all there is to see?
While Life fades in your eyes.
And why.
I curse what Gods I knew.
Blasphemeing your God too.
Damn my hand that feels no air.
My soul, my empty eyes.
I cry.
Your darkened face holds my sight,
though quick I look away.
Wonder will my part of you survive,
Til last sight hits my eyes.
I sigh.
Look back at you where now you lie.
Cold ground, cold stone and bitter sky.
Surround this frozen Life,
let loose by I.
As I.
Let Death fill up my eyes
