Forget my face
#1

This poem was written a while ago.  I found it only recently...  It was writen on a particularly dark, sad night of my existence for Willow, the whitetail doe I loved and would ultimately be barred from ever seeing again.  But it works equally well for an animal being taken from a zoophile who is being prosecuted.  I think it deserves some feedback here, despite it's dark nature.

It's not quite perfect form for poetry, maybe it's more of a song.  I don't know.  I found it written on a scratchpad while cleaning my room, and I felt it might have a place here.

One last glance, into my eyes.
a face I will not forget,
a moment I will always despise...
I use it to send,
one less message to her.
One that pains me,
but one that love says I must endure
Though it pains me, I look away.

Forget my face,
Forget my face,
Forget the nights,
When we enjoyed each others embrace.

You must forget,
you must move on
You must find another,
to give your love to that strong

You must forget
The bond we had here
The sacred bond,
we once held so dear.

Throw it all away,
let it burn
let it burn brightly
so you may find another for which to yearn

You must give your heart,
to another soul
Do it for me,
Do it to keep your heart from growing cold

The last thing I want,
is for you to grow bitter like me,
so please!
do one last thing.
do it for me

Forget my face.
