That's the reason I sold my 500 mag, not fun to shoot at all, unlike my desert eagle which was a blast no pun intended

Ever shot a .45/70 Gov? I wonder which one is worse.

rally nice improvement there ram

i been carrying an old 669 for probably close to 20 yrs never had a complaint

And like hiway i also got a sweet model 19 i have had for about 20 as well i really like

have the most fun plinking with an old ruger 22 mark 2

and the one that look and feels like a cannon .. blackhawk 44 .... word to the wise ,,never get a few beers and try to cowboy palm slap the hammer like in the westerns ... unless you want stiches in your palm ... LOL .. word to the wise .. had a SOBER buddy supposedly knows guns ...  hammer plant his forehead with this old girl, he staggered big time i thought he was gonna pass out. ROTFLMFAO!

i would vote my old henry gov is worse .... but my grandfathers old parker double 8 takes the lead(yes it did kknock me flat on my ass when i was 22 and apperently 160lbs was small enough to go flyng) ....He also had a big 50 after the 8 i was gun broke never got the balls to pull the trigger on that bastard ....  WTF would anyone choose to shoot geese with an 8 ... my old rem express with 3 1/2 4 shot was the last 3 1/2 i will ever plan to shoot either, i will wait till ducks close enough for a 3inch ... an extra 1/2 is serious upgrade i do NOT need.

On a side note anyone ever seen a punt gun? That truly was a long barreled cannon ... bore diameters up to 2″   Used for duck hunting isn’t the right expression for aiming this piece of artillery in the general direction of a flock of ducks, firing, and spending the rest of the day picking up the carcasses.

.500 come on people, whats the fucking point .. except to claim i got the balls to own an actual hand cannon or is that my balls are small enough i want a cannon to make me feel better ... and dare others to shoot it ... and maybe mine are small enough i had to prove they was big by shooting one ...LOL

I have the improved 92, made by taurus }:=op

The PX4 Storm passed the NATO trials when they were looking for a replacement to the 92 a few years back.

Then Beretta paid someone off.. I mean they made some improvements and the 92 stayed until recently.

While I'm not a huge fan of plastic guns.. After a day in SA the PX4 is a hell of a lot lighter than my 1911.

I had a Taurus PT99 stainless back in the 90s.  I think it was one of the first stainless pistols out of the chute and it had issues.  I traded it for the Beretta 92 after a few months.  I don't have anything against Taurus really, just had a bad one.

As for plastic guns, this H&K USP is my favorite.  I've owned it for 23 years and it still runs fine!

For the 1911 guys, this Ruger was reasonably priced and had "custom" features right out of the box.<a class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image" href="https://zoowg.org/uploads/monthly_2018_01/5a6e04298781c_RugerSR19112.JPG.810bcf786a03d87c52215a1a48933d83.JPG" data-fileid="3068">[Image: 5a6e0429b2ca4_RugerSR19112.thumb.JPG.e2e...4e33a9.JPG]</a>

I like Smith 19's too, I have them in 2 flavors.<a class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image" href="https://zoowg.org/uploads/monthly_2018_01/P1000420.JPG.43cc0304953ba4c78b284b50a56d11ed.JPG" data-fileid="3069">[Image: P1000420.thumb.JPG.98ce9d4d56bdcd81daf8f3c7adecb47b.JPG]</a><a class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image" href="https://zoowg.org/uploads/monthly_2018_01/5a6e0744c5d0a_SW19-2.JPG.eab87b3f19dad754d674ed3499c0683f.JPG" data-fileid="3070">[Image: 5a6e0744ea8ca_SW19-2.thumb.JPG.c7533e727...497dcd.JPG]</a>

I looked really hard at the Ruger 1911 but I saw the Desert Eagle 1911 at a gun show and was really amazed at how glass smooth the slide felt.

I think they really screwed up with that huge name in the side. I bet it killed more than one sale.

But it's a damn good shooter.

Yeah, that thing is unbelievable sexy, like a hand sized anti-tank gun. Excel Arms is going to build this gun again this year. Sadly slightly modified for more economic manufacturing.

Nice topic, and nice guns. I have more'n a few myself. My favorite remains the GI Colt 1911A2 that I carried for over 20 years for uncle and stole from him when I left. Rebarreled twice now, but still a nice shooter.
